i used calamine lotion over night, it help get rid of my acne just made my skin dry.
What to buy:
- a luffa sponge (you can find this at Fred Meyer)
- a bottle of Tea Tree Oil (this can be found at Target)
- cotton rounds or cloths to apply products
- a non- oil shower gel (preferrably something with "scrubbing beads")
- clean and clear daily facial moisterising lotion (find this at any drug store)
1) When you do your daily shower, apply the shower gel to your face and scrub in a gentle circular motion with the luffa sponge (you can scrub more vigirously once your face becomes clearer)
2) COMEPLETELY rinse off your face and towel dry it
3) in the morning, apply clean and clear facial lotion to your face to ensure that your skin will sooth and not become extremely dry
4) at night, apply the tea tree oil to your face, diluted with water to the ratio of 50:50
If you have more delicate skin, you may need to use a different sponge besides the luffa, and dilute the tea tree oil more, but this process has worked WONDERS for me throughout the past years.
i know how u feel, i havent tried the cucumber mask, but here are a few things that i have tried:
drinking apple cider vinegar , 1 tbls acv in 8oz water w/ 1 tsp honey 3 times a day= my skin cleared alot but i couldnt stand the drink so i stopped and the acne came back
hot water and acv: boil a pot of water, add some acv, and turn off the stove, drape a towel over your head and "steam clean" pores. this is really hard to do since it gets so hot, but i did find the the pimples i have clear up faster. try this 3 times weekly
pure aloe vera: aloe is supposed to heal the skin, it healed old acne but did nothing to prevent new ones.
tea tree oil: it is a natural antiseptic, it cleared my skin for a while (3wks) then stopped working.
pine tar soap: some say this is a miracle worker, it made my acne worse.
coconut oil: it is supposed to slow the bodys oil production which causes acne and it moisturizes i have been doing this for 2 weeks now, my skin has cleared alot but not 100 % and it is moisturizing my skin. now im trying the coconut oil but mixing ground turmeric ( a natural spice that is supposed to be and anti-inflamatory), hopefully this works.
take zinc since this aids in healthy skin, drink lots of water and try not to get stressed out. good luck, hopefully one day we will find an easy "cure" for this problem
aspirin masks are really effective for a lot of people. Take 3-4 uncoated aspirin in your hand, add a few drops of water which should disolve them to a grainy texture, and then add a bit of honey. Leave it of your face for 20 min and wash off
toothpaste. not the gel kind tho. put toothpaste on each zit before bed.
oatmeal and honey masks help if you use them once a day for at LEAST a week...
cucumber masks can help a little bit..
also; maybe you should try to change up your diet? cut down on soda, candies, things with lots of oils and sugars in them...
Home remedies are not too good, if you've got bad acne.
I'd say go to the drug store, get your self some cetaphil products, and start using mineral makeup. Less is best, i promise. =)
and go to the dermo, it'll help by tons.
lol.. when i went to work with my mom one day.. i read in a magazine that if u put lettuce and water in a blender.. and make it sit over night in the fridge it gets to like a muddy paste. let it sit on ur face for a while.. they used that back then when they didnt have all this stuff lol
go 2 http://janmarini.com/. then find the section "Skin Care Management System" and buy a lotion from the list tat appeared. it really works!!! but expensive! its worth it! hope tat helps, good luck!
Put a small dab of honey on your pimple and cover it with a band-aid. This should bring it to a head overnight.
Also try mixing together oatmeal and honey and wear it as a mask.
I've tryed like everryyy home remedies that ppl said workedd but it didnt for me soo i jus wentt to the doctor and got sommee creamm (:
try putting toothpaste on your pimples before you go to sleep
that helps them dry up fast and easy
try washing with a solution of white vinegar and water, and check up on what you are eating
home remedies dont workkkk. believe me. you need dermatologists recommended products.
for your skin: eating right is a big part of it. fast food is a major cause. also PICKING AT YOUR FACE. omg i used to do that so muchhh and it MESSES UP your skin. dont touch at all! let it heal! =D
THESE PRODUCTS HELPED ME ALOT:
every morning i use neutrogena exfoliator (picture below) and it really helps scrub off dead skin and help the pimples heal.
neutrogena acne cleanser is reallly good also
ALSO for spot treatment, use Oxy spot cream which comes in a black box and is great to use over night. it costs about $5-$6 also at CVS. IT REALLY WORKS! dries up acne!
AND AFTER YOU WASH, YOU MUST MOISTURIZE. neutrogena( my favorite brand) has a great oil free moisturizer.
this helps hydrate your skin so that when its dry, your skin wont build up EVEN more oil than usual.
these are 3 of my favorite products that really help with breakouts.
the common myth of breakouts is that you can cure them overnight which is not true. use these products morning and night and i hope your skin will clear up like mine did. they really do work.
U HAVE TO KEEP USING THEM THOUGH. CONSISTENTLY! u will notice results if you keep using them.
products:
(at night & whenever you need)
oxy spot treatment:
