You cannot deduct those types of things........now if you had a HELOC and used the money to pay for those items you can deduct the interest that you paid on the HELOC.......
Only items that qualify for a residential energy credit can be used on your tax return. See form 5695 for specifics - you can download it at irs.gov
only current tax advantage I know of is possible energy saving credit.
You can't deduct them. You add them to the cost of your house when you sell it, thus reducing your gain for income tax.
