Is having a detention basin near your home a negative for the value of your home?

I never realized but my home has a detention basin right next to it. Does this lower the value of my home? If so, by how much? How much does this affect the value of homes next to one?

In the summer time it may, if you find yourself with a horrid mosquito problem.

Otherwise, if it's well disguised (likely if you only just realized it was there) it may not matter to anyone.

I wouldn't think so.
