How much lower will home prices go in Florida?

I'm saving up for a down payment to buy my first home. I want to know how long I should wait to buy. I live in South Florida where home prices are still high and I can't move because of my job.

Does anybody have good advice?

First, get a map, where you want to live. Then get a real estate agent and let him open a gateway (internet) for you to more detailed information about properties available in that area. Give your him/her your parameters, price range, size.

Then do a lot of research. Average price per sqft. How much homes are on the market, how long, what condition, visit as much as you can, make notes, compare, build a data bank, what is actual sale price to asking price range.

Then start putting in offers, low ball. Maybe somebody is desperate enough to sell.
