How do you prepare a home for someone allergic to dogs?

We're renting our home out to someone allergic to pets and we have 2 dogs and a cat. We're moving to a new home. What can be done to prepare the home for someone with severe allergies? I would like for her to be comfortable.

Just do a good cleaning, including shampoo the carpets and curtains, if you have any. You should also change the A/C filter. If you're not leaving the furniture, there's not much more than that you can do.

Get carpets and window coverings cleaned. Clean the rest of the house as you would normally. As long as the house is cleaned well and the dogs are gone, it shoudn't be a problem.

The biggest thing - steam clean all carpets and any upholstered furniture you are leaving there. A good clean of all other surfances will help as well.

Depending upon how bad the allergies are, the carpeting may need to be replaced.

Have your carpets professionally cleaned.
