Are there any home spray remedies for home plants to keep bugs away?

I am slowly starting to have more and more houseplants, but am starting to worry that they might get bugs, or plant lice in the future. Do you know of any sprays that I can make at home to keep the bugs away.

For instance would spraying them with water and vinegar help?or would that be bad for the plant?

TRY USING A SPRAY OF VINEGAR AND WATER TO HELP GET RID OF PLANT APHIDS. THIS LOOKS LIKE COTTON ON THE PLANT. I'VE ALSO TAKEN A Q-TIP AND DIPPED IT IN STRAIGHT ALCOHOL AND TOUCHED THE COTTON-LIKE MATERIAL. THIS SEEMS TO WORK WELL. AS FAR AS THE OTHER PLANTS, DON'T OVERWATER THEM.

yes it works, i use that with a tsp of dish soap added to a spray bottle.!!its a sticker

murphy's oil soap & water
