Im thinking lemon or bicarbonate maybe, but just wondered if anyone uses this or anything else. And how much to use.
Kim & Aggie used a cup of white vinegar so I tried it and it worked wonders.Sit it in and just run through the cylcle.
white vinegar
i had this problem just melt candle in to the top and carry on
Vinegar, or bleach and baking soda
I run bleach through mine every so often - doesnt hurt it xxx
Try an eggcup full of white vinegar and some bicarb hottest cycle and it comes up gleaming. My coffee machine must be washed out with vinegar it says so on the care dvd that came with it.
I use soda crystals and run it on the hottest programme you have, this also works well in my washing machine. Save loads of money as a bag of soda crystals is about £0.60 and you only need a handful!
vinegar--white--is the best thing to use. in an empty machine, place one full cup white vinegar in bottom rack, no detergent, run a normal cycle. same thing works for washing machines
I/2 cup of bleach and 2 tbs. of lemon. Run that through and then run through with just plain water, it rinses it clean and makes it white!
Works for me!
I run 2 cups of white vinegar through my washer once a week. Then for every load of dishes I use a branded product made with citrus acids that is environmentally safe. It is a hard water product but also for cleaning the washer itself. I use a tab detergent so I fill the cup with the citrus crystals and close the lid. You will find it with the dish washing products at most retailers. It makes my dishes very clear, keeps the washer clean and no drain smells.
Areas such as the bottom door hinge area and around the door edge of course will have to be cleaned with elbow power and cleanser when needed.
